/report-type/research-agenda Research Agenda en /reports/research-agenda-0 <div class="field field-name-body field-type-text-with-summary field-label-hidden"><div class="field-items"><div class="field-item even" property="content:encoded"><p><span id="page32R_mcid186" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">The</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">2023-2027</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">Research</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">Agenda,</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">which</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">is</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">under</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">the</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">theme "</span></span><span id="page32R_mcid187" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">Transdisciplinary Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development </span></span><span id="page32R_mcid188" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">in a Changing World",</span></span><span id="page32R_mcid189" class="markedContent"> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">provides the roadmap for research that transcends </span></span><span id="page32R_mcid190" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">traditional disciplinary boundaries and integrates the disciplines of </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid193" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">education, humanities, natural, social, and health sciences.</span> <span dir="ltr" role="presentation">As a </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid194" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">constellation of a diverse individual and team-based research portfolio </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid195" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">from departments, faculties/schools and colleges of our University, this </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid196" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">Agenda is inherently owned by our entire research community due to </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid197" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">its bottom-up development procedures. The Agenda also aims to guide </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid198" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">research, using novel ideas and processes to produce new and original </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid199" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">outputs for societal benefit. Further, the 2023-2027 Research Agenda is </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid200" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">situated within national (e.g. Ghana Centennial Development Plan, NDPC </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid201" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">Agenda 2057), continental (e.g. Agenda 2063, the Africa we want) and </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid202" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">global development agendas (e.g. the Sustainable Development Goals </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid203" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">(SDGs)). </span></span></p><p><span id="page35R_mcid204" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">This renewed research agenda seeks to build on our unique strengths </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid205" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">and opportunities, as well as confront our unique weaknesses and </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid206" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">threats. It is a strategic framework for guiding improvements in the </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid207" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">development, conduct and governance of our research and innovation </span></span><span id="page35R_mcid208" class="markedContent"><span dir="ltr" role="presentation">drive.
