All persons who wrote the just ended West African听 Secondary School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE) and are awaiting results are hereby informed that application for听admission into undergraduate programmes of the 黑料社 for the 2016/2017 academic year has been extended to 15th听July, 2016.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for admission into undergraduate programmes of the 黑料社 for the 2016/2017 academic year.听Persons who will be writing WASSCE this year (AWAITING 2016 WASSCE RESULTS) can also apply.
Applicants are to buy scratch cards which will enable them to apply for programmes of their choice听online.听 The scratch cards are up for sale at the Centres listed below:

2.听听听听听听听听听ONLINE APPLICATIONS
Applicants should visit听听and click on听听for further instructions.
All applicants are required to provide the following information at the back of the large EMS envelope: (a) application reference number听 (b) full name (c) postal address (d) first choice programme and (e) application category which should be one of the following:听SSSCE/WASSCE or Post-Diploma or Post First Degree or OTHER (to be specified by applicant).
Applicants are advised to read application instructions as well as the contents of the admissions brochure very carefully before completing the online application form.听 Applications on which APPLICATION REFERENCE NUMBERS are not indicated will not be processed.
3.听听听听听听听听听BASIC ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- The Minimum Admission Requirement into the 黑料社 for听WASSCE听applicants is aggregate听36.听听For听SSSCE听applicants, the minimum requirement is aggregate听24.听听听听听
Candidates must have credit passes in six (6) subjects with overall aggregate of 36/24 at the听WASSCE/SSSCE听respectively.
Three of the six subjects must be core subjects:听English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies听and three must be in relevant electives.听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听
听 For purposes of admission, a credit pass in :
i.听听 WASSCE means A1 鈥� C6
ii.听 SSSCE means A 鈥� D

Holders of the听General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level听(obtained not more than three years ago) must,听 in addition to credit passes in five (5) GCE 鈥極鈥� Level subjects (including听English听and听Mathematics), have, at least, two (2) passes in the relevant subjects.
听 -
Applicants with the听General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE)听results should have credit passes (A-D) in six (6) subjects comprising three (3) core subjects including听English听Language听and听Mathematics听plus three (3) relevant elective subjects.听
听 - Holders of the听International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE)/ International Baccalaureate (IB)听must possess at least Grades A*/A-C in English, Mathematics and Biology at the Standard (SL)/鈥橭鈥� Level, in addition to three Higher Level (HL 鈥� A to C)/鈥橝鈥� Level (A to D)/IB 2 (A to C) grades in the relevant subjects.
Applicants are required to read specific Departmental/programme requirements contained in the Admissions Brochure before completing the online application.
4.听听听听听听听听听FEE-PAYING APPLICANTS
Fee-paying facilities are available for candidates/applicants who are unable to meet the competitive cut-off points determined by the Joint Admissions Committee.
Applicants who wish to be considered may complete and attach the fee-paying forms (available at the sale centres or downloaded from the university鈥檚 admissions portal) to their printed online application forms.听 Such candidates shall be required to meet the minimum admission requirements.听 Copies of last year鈥檚 cut-off points for the various programmes are available at the sale centres and the University鈥檚 website for applicants鈥� guidance.
5.听听听听听听听听听SCHOOL OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Applicants who are applying into School of Medical Sciences should note that the programme is听strictly fee-paying.
6.听听听听听听听听听PRACTICAL EXAMINATIONS FOR B.ED (PHYSICAL EDUCATION) CANDIDATES
SSSCE/WASSCE candidates applying for B.Ed (Physical Education) should note that the date for the practical examinations will be announced later.
7.听听听听听听听听听SUBMISSION OF COPIES OF COMPLETED APPLICATION FORMS
(a)听听听听听听 Two copies of completed online application forms accompanied by two copies of results slips should be sent by POST and NOT delivered by hand.
听 听 听 听 听 听 Copies of the completed online application forms should reach the Director, Directorate of Academic Affairs (DAA), 黑料社 not later than听Friday, 15th听July, 2016.听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听听
听听听听听听听听听听听 Applicants are to ensure that application forms are posted early enough to be received before the deadline for submission as forms received after the deadline will not be processed.听听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听 听听
(b)听听听听听听听 No additional documents will be accepted after submission of completed application forms.听 Applicants are to note that only听photocopies of certificates or result slips听should accompany completed application forms.听 Original certificates/result slips of applicants offered admission will be inspected before registration.听 The documents accompanying the application forms are not returnable.
(c)听听听听听听听听Persons awaiting 2016 WASSCE results MUST select the 鈥淎waiting Results鈥� option before providing their examination details. Those who already have results SHOULD NOT select the 鈥淎waiting Results鈥� option but rather go ahead to verify their results
(d)听听听听听听听听Application forms received without Application Reference Numbers, two (2) copies each of WASSCE/SSSCE results slips or transcripts, in the case of Post-Diploma and other applicants, will not be processed听(this does not apply to persons awaiting results).
A change of programme after the submission of application forms will NOT be allowed.
