A1.Ìý3-YEAR DIPLOMA IN BASIC EDUCATION (DBE)

1. All applicants to thisÌýprogrammeÌýmust be basic school teachers either in the public or private ÌýÌýschools and must haveÌýat least one year teaching experience.
2. ÌýForÌýdirect entry, applicants must possess anyÌýoneÌýof the following:

(i)WASSCE passes (A1-C6) in five (5) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus 2 elective subjects.
(ii)SSSCE passes (A-D) in five (5) subjects comprising three core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus 2 elective subjects.
(iii)ÌýGeneral Certificate of Education (G.C.E.) ‘A’ Level with passes in Two (2) subjects with grades not lower than D.Ìý In addition, applicants must possess credits at G.C.E. ‘O’ Level in Mathematics and English.
(iv)ÌýG.C.E Ordinary Level with a minimum of 5 credits in 5 subjects including English and Mathematics.

b.Applicants who are products of Vocational and Technical Institutions and are currently teaching can apply to take part in the Mature Students Entrance Examination.

Applicants who do not meet the specified requirements in (B1& B2) can gain admission to theÌýprogrammeÌýwhen they pass a Mature Students Entrance Examination (MEE) fromÌý13^thÌýFebruary 2016 - 1^stÌýMay 2016Ìýto be organized at selected StudyÌýCentresÌýthroughout Ghana.
a)Holders of Diploma in Business Studies (DBS) certificate awarded by the Technical Examination Unit of GES without fourÌý(4) credit passes in WASSCE / SSSCE including English and MathematicsÌýwould only be considered for admission after writing and passing all subjects during the Mature Entrance Examination.
b)Applicants should have a minimum certificate in WASSCE/ SSSCE or G.C.E ‘O’ Level withÌýpasses in English or Mathematics and any two (2) other subjects.
c)Applicants should be at least 25 years.

1.All online applications should be submitted online. Duly submitted applications will haveÌýapplication numbersÌýauto generated.
2.ÌýThe confirmation page should be printed and submitted together with photocopies of certificates, results slips/transcripts to the centre where scratch cards were purchased soon after submitting online.ÌýTake note of application numbers and quote it when communicating with the College.
3.Ensure that the date you purchased the scratch card and the serial number of the card is recorded.
4.Keep photocopies of the confirmation page and scratch card for reference purposes.
