M.Sc. (Statistics)

The M.Sc (Statistics) programme is designed to offer qualified applicants who cannot enrol on regular MPhil programme an opportunity to obtain a one-year Master鈥檚 degree with the same course work as the MPhil. It is run as a sandwich programme and will be more practical-based to meet the demands of applicants who are already working and require hands-on applications. In place of thesis, students will be allowed to present dissertation prepared over a three-month period to demonstrate application of knowledge acquired. Students will also select courses to attain a minimum of 30 credits of course work.

Admission Requirements

Applicants must have obtained a good first-degree (Second Class Lower Division or better) in the following programmes: BSc. (Statistics), BSc. (Mathematics and Statistics), BSc. (Statistics and Economics), and BSc. (Statistics and Computer Science)
A good first degree in other related programmes with sufficient content in Statistics

Must have obtained a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Nursing with at least Second Class Lower Division from a recognized institution.
Should be a registered nurse.

Non-degree nurse with ten (10) years working experience and an Advanced Diploma in a specialty area may be considered.
Must have an active registration with the Nurses and Midwives Council (NMC) Ghana.
