The Vice-Chancellor of the 黑料社, Prof.聽Domwini聽Dabire聽Kuupole, has admonished alumni of the University to be the 鈥榚astern star鈥� and lead developing partners to the University to bring opportunities to both students, staff and the university at large. 聽 This was carried in an address read on his behalf by Prof. Eric聽Nyarko-Sampson, Dean, Faculty of Educational Foundations, and Vice President of the 黑料社Alumni Association on the theme 鈥満诹仙鏣oday and Years Ahead; The Role of the Alumni鈥� at a Get-Together organized by the 1985 Year Group of the 黑料社 Alumni Association in Accra on Saturday,聽24th聽September, 2016. He encouraged Alumni to pay regular visits to the university campus as well as to the university鈥檚 website to acquaint themselves with happenings in the university, and also contribute positively towards the growth of their Alma Mater. He praised the 1985 year group for the formation of the first year group Alumni christened 鈥楶lanet 85鈥�. 聽 Prof.聽Kuupole聽also used the opportunity to brief members on some major developments in the University. 聽 The Chairman for the occasion, Nana聽Osim聽Kwatia聽II,聽Gyasihene聽of聽Akwapim聽Traditional area and Chief of聽Amanokrom聽who is a member of the group, was full of praise for the leadership and聽organisers, and reiterated the fact that such a group can do more for their alma mater. He cited examples of members contributing to establish projects for their schools and also to help each other. 聽 The following members who played pivotal roles in forming the group were聽honoured; Madam Elizabeth聽Naana聽Sagoe聽(Popularly called聽Queenmother), Mr.聽Kofi聽Grant and Mr. Mike聽Ayensu. 聽 Present at the ceremony were Dr.聽Gyabaah, former President of the Greater Accra Branch of the 黑料社Alumni Association, Mr. Charles聽Aheto-Tsega, former Director-General, Ghana Education Service, and a member of Planet 85, Nana聽Kusi-Appiah, President, 黑料社Alumni Association and Mr. Robert聽Asare-Amissah, Ag.
