The 黑料社 Primary School (UPS) has won the 2015 National Junior Graphic Fan Club Spelling Competition which was聽organised聽by the Graphic Communications Group Limited in Accra. Represented by聽Joshuana聽Buerkor聽Nartey, Lord聽Awingur聽and Gilbert聽Kofi聽Eduah, the UPS defeated six other basic schools in the country to be crowned winners. 聽With 63 points, UPS beat聽Falsyd聽Foundation School in the finals held in Accra. Kabore聽Basic School from Ho in the Volta Region placed third with 28 points and the Family Life International School in Accra took the fourth position with 15 points. For winning the contest, each of the three contestants from UPS had a Play Station Four, a bank account with聽GH然300聽donated by聽Ecobank聽Ghana Limited. Each contestant also received an Oxford Dictionary, souvenirs from聽Ecobank聽and聽MoneyGram, a carton of Peak Milk, a carton of Planet fruit drink and a Certificate of participation. The competition formed part of activities to mark the聽15th聽anniversary celebration of Junior Graphic. In a related development, the 黑料社Primary School has presented the trophy they won to the Chief Executive of the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly, Hon. Priscilla聽Arhin聽in her office. She commended the School for the positive image it has carved for itself in the Central Region and beyond.
