The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Joseph聽Ghartey聽Ampiah, has paid a working visit to the Central Regional Headquarters of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG). In his remarks at a meeting with the management of the Central Regional聽ECG, Prof.聽Ampiah聽said the visit was to introduce himself and also deepen the already existing relations between 黑料社and聽ECG. The Vice-Chancellor expressed the University鈥檚 gratitude to management of the Central Regional聽ECG聽for the continuous support and assistance. He further called for continuous support to enable the University Community to enjoy uninterrupted power supply. During the meeting, the Regional General Manager thanked Prof聽Ampiah聽for the visit. He assured the Vice-Chancellor that聽ECG聽would always do everything within its means to ensure that the University Community does not suffer from frequent power outages. He noted that the University has been designated as part of the sensitive areas in the region. Mr.聽Abebreseh聽briefed Prof.聽Ampiah聽on the issue of聽ECG聽providing a Dedicated Line to the University to prevent frequent power cuts. He lauded the idea by the University to accept the prepaid system which he noted would be beneficial to the two institutions. For his part, the Vice-Chancellor thanked Mr.聽Abebreseh聽for the warm hospitality accorded him. Mr.聽Ampiah聽noted that the issue of聽ECG聽providing a Dedicated Line to the University should be discussed thoroughly to save the University from the cost of buying fuel to service its generators during power outages. The Vice-Chancellor further appealed to the Regional General Manager to allow his engineers to conduct routine checks on the University's equipment, including the Sub-station.
