The Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George K. T. Oduro, has expressed the need to instill critical thinking in the current Ghanaian students. He said, critical thinking was fast eroding from students discourse. 聽 He made this call when the leadership of Ghana Universities Debate Association paid a courtesy call to inform him of the forthcoming National Debate to be hosted by the 黑料社.
The Chancellor of the 黑料社, Sir (Dr.) Sam Jonah, has received a lifetime achievement award at the West African edition of the Ernst and Young (EY) World Entrepreneur of the Year Awards, held in Lagos, Nigeria on Friday February 5, 2016. The EY Entrepreneur Awards recognises the world鈥檚 most successful and innovative entrepreneurs by identifying and acknowledging their outstanding achievements within successful growing of dynamic businesses.
The La-Wuogon Muslim Trust, a Local NGO has donated twenty Sony ICD-BX140 voice recorders to the University Library. The presentation was held at the Resource Centre for Alternative Media and Assistive Technology in the University Main Library. The donation was facilitated by the Campus Volunteer Foundation to assist the visually impaired students in their studies.

A member of the Sexual Harassment Committee, Prof. Nancy Lundgren has stated that the introduction of the sexual harassment policy is not meant to intimidate anybody in the University Community. Prof. Lundgren explained that the policy was to educate staff and students to understand and appreciate the relationship male and female at the work setting. 鈥淲e need to treat each other as human being whether male or female and no person should take undue advantage of the other at the work place,鈥� she stressed.
A four-member delegation from the Grand Valley State University, United States of America has paid a courtesy call on the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Prof. George K. T. Oduro in his office. The delegation, which was led by Anne L. Hiskes, includes Mark Schaub, Rachel Siglow and Cindy Hiskes. 聽 Speaking on behalf of the team, Anne Hiskes said it was interesting for them to be visiting Ghana and indicated that they were here to learn about the philosophy of higher education and new programmes of the university. 聽
A Public Lecture has been held at the 黑料社 to usher in the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which falls on Wednesday, January 27.

The 黑料社 Primary School (UPS) has won the 2015 National Junior Graphic Fan Club Spelling Competition which was聽organised聽by the Graphic Communications Group Limited in Accra. Represented by聽Joshuana聽Buerkor聽Nartey, Lord聽Awingur聽and Gilbert聽Kofi聽Eduah, the UPS defeated six other basic schools in the country to be crowned winners. 聽With 63 points, UPS beat聽Falsyd聽Foundation School in the finals held in Accra.
The 黑料社 (UCC) and Dominion University College (DUC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at a short ceremony on campus. The聽MoU聽serves as a reference document that makes 黑料社a mentor institution to聽DUC. Speaking at the signing ceremony, the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. D. D.聽Kuupole聽commended聽DUC聽for entering into affiliation with UCC. He noted that affiliation is about partnership and therefore the two institutions should work towards achieving results.
